Biography

Dr. Ujwal Yeole 
is a MCh Neurosurgeon from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bengaluru. NIMHANS is one of the most renowned and prestigious one-of-a-kind neurosciences institutes, of national importance in India. He also completed his DNB Neurosurgery in the following year.

He gained a wealth of experience in Neurosurgery over the last five years. Initially, he worked as a senior resident in Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, in 2013 in neurosurgical services before his MCh training. After finishing his MCh, he continued honing his surgical skills at NIMHANS for another year as a Lecturer in the Department of Neurosurgery.


Dr. Ujwal briefly worked as an Associate Consultant in neurosurgery in P D Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, in 2019. He completed a one-year training in Surgical Neuro-Oncology as a Clinical Fellow at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, in November 2020. 

He is surgically apt to manage all kinds of neurotrauma, vascular, spinal, pediatric, endoscopic, and neuro-oncology cases. He has performed more than 1000 neurosurgeries in the last five years. 

 

Dr. Ujwal is well-read, well-published, and has presented posters and given lectures in various forums nationally and internationally. He has many publications on various fields of neurosurgery in National and international journals. He delivered a lecture as an invited speaker in International Walter Dandy meet, Nepal 2019 on a novel surgical technique in microvascular anastomosis.

He was nominated for the prestigious Leksell Radiosurgery Fellowship 2020 at UPMC, Pittsburgh, USA by Leksell Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Society, Sweden. He was chosen from thousands of applicants globally and was the only candidate selected from India in 2020.
